Small handful iceomit if using frozen mango chunks
Instructions
Peel the mangoes and chop into chunks, avoiding the fibrous centre (or use store bought frozen mango chunks).
Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor and whiz until smooth and thick. Enjoy!
Notes
The mangoes make this milkshake sweet naturally. Taste the milkshake before adding any sugar to make sure it’s at your desired level of sweet. Sweetness will depend on the seasonality and ripeness of your fruit.
If you use frozen mango, you'll just need the mango and milk as they're usually frozen when very ripe so will be sweet enough without any sugar.
You can't make this too far ahead as it could discolour slightly as the fruit oxidizes.
If using frozen mango for your smoothie, be sure to use a high-speed blender and pulse to break down the shake before blending until smooth. This will help avoid chunks.
Additionally, if you are using frozen mango you may not need to add ice to this shake.
To make this a super thick shake, you can add half a banana or a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.
