1cupchocolate chipsor more if needed, any type: dark, milk, semi-sweet etc...
Instructions
To melt chocolate chips in a microwave
Add your desired amount of chocolate chips to a microwave-safe bowl.
Set the microwave to high and heat the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between. TIP: This helps ensure even melting and prevents scorching.
Repeat the process until the chocolate becomes smooth and fully melted.
Adjust the time according to your microwave's power, as they vary.
To melt chocolate on the stove top
Set up a double boiler by filling a saucepan with 1-2-inches of water and heating it over medium-low heat until it simmers.
Place a heatproof bowl on top, ensuring it fits snugly without touching the water (this is important so the chocolate doesn't seize).
Add the chocolate chips to the bowl and stir gently until they melt completely.
Notes
Moisture can cause chocolate to seize, so make sure all utensils, bowls, and surfaces are completely clean and dry before melting the chocolate chips. Even a small amount of moisture can cause the chocolate to become lumpy and unworkable.
Patience and gentle heat are key to achieving smooth and silky melted chocolate.
