Instructions
First, make the black chocolate simple syrup:
In a saucepan, whisk together the water, sugar, and cocoa powder until well combined in a pan over medium heat.
Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
Once cooled, transfer the chocolate syrup to a clean, airtight container or bottle. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
For the Halloween chocolate cream soda:
Fill a glass with ice and top up with sparkling water or Sprite.
Stir in 1-2 tablespoons of the chocolate simple syrup.
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of cream into the glass.
Top with whipped cream and a few candy eyes for Halloween.
