You'll love this refreshing homemade Mango Soda!

You're going to love this recipe for a refreshing vanilla-infused fresh and fizzy Mango Soda! It's absolute bliss.

I typically don’t enjoy buying fruit sodas at the store. They are often filled with chemicals, dyes, and preservatives that just don’t seem right to serve my family all the time.

I started making my own fruit soda at home from scratch and it couldn’t be easier!

You’ll need to start with a base of fruit syrup and then add fizzy club soda (or Sprite, sparkling water, or tonic water) to transform it into a refreshing drink.

In this recipe, I used mangoes which you can use fresh or frozen, to make a super easy fruit syrup for the flavor base of the soda.

I then sweetened it up with some sugar and vanilla for the perfect sweet and warming flavor combination that pairs well with your favorite alcohol or can be served as is over ice.

Bring it to a BBQ or serve poolside for a summer drink everyone will enjoy!

I often buy up lots of tasty mangoes in the store when they're in season to make Mango Compote, Mango Salad, and Mango Shakes. I just adore the flavor!

Why You'll Love This Recipe

There are no harsh chemicals, food dyes, or preservatives in this mango soda.

It has a wonderful sweet taste and fizz.

You can use fresh or frozen mango which means you can make it any time of the year.

Your mango soda can easily be turned into an adult beverage by adding your favorite alcohol. You'll love it with Malibu, Bourbon, Gin, Vodka etc... Or add it to a cocktail.

The syrup comes together in minutes making it the best drink to serve in a pinch.

Ingredients

For the Mango Drink Syrup

  • Mango - You can use fresh or frozen for this recipe.
  • Granulated White Sugar - Adds additional sweet flavor to the soda.
  • Water - Helps thin out the syrup making it easy to pour.
  • Vanilla Extract - Adds a light vanilla flavor that pairs well with sweet mango.

For Serving

Club Soda - You can also use your favorite sparkling water or soda water.
Heavy Cream (Optional): A dash of heavy cream turns this soda into a creamy Italian soda! Totally optional though.

It's so easy to assemble the ice, club soda and syrup into a homemade Mango Soda!

Once you have your cooled mango syrup, you can assemble your mango sodas!

Simply add ice to a glass, pour in some syrup and top up with your favorite fizzy soda - try club soda, sprite, sparkling water, tonic etc... Taste and add more syrup if you like it sweeter. Want to make it an Italian cream soda? Stir in a teaspoon of cream!

Hint: If you don't want to make your own syrup, you can buy it at the store. Check out Monin and Torani.

Storage

Storing: Homemade mango drink syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Assemble the mango sodas right before drinking.

Freezing: Freezing is not recommended for homemade syrups.

Top tips

  • Make sure the syrup is fully cooled and chilled in the fridge before adding it into a glass with soda water.
  • The level of sweetness depends on the person and if you’re making a cocktail, so more or less syrup may be needed in each glass.
  • Homemade soda is best consumed immediately and tastes best if it’s mixed right before serving. This will also help keep it carbonated for as long as possible.
