Why You'll Love This Recipe

The tart and tangy flavor of lemonade are balanced by the floral flavor of rose in this refreshing drink.

Rose lemonade is really easy to make! You'll just need to juice some lemons, make a rose simple syrup, and add sparkling water.

It has a natural pink color that is sophisticated and elegant.

The rose simple syrup can be used for other drink, cocktail, and dessert recipes.

It tastes just like Fentiman's Rose Lemonade.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Lemons - You'll need about 4 lemons to make ½ half cup of fresh juice. This depends on their size and how juicy they are.
  • Rose Syrup - You can easily make rose simple syrup from scratch or buy it at the grocery store.
  • Sparkling Water - Adds an effervescent edge that gives texture and dimension to the drink. Don't like it fizzy? Just use plain water.
  • Ice - This drink is best served chilled over ice.

Add ice and soda water: You then just need to add ice to the pitcher, add the sparkling water and gently stir until combined. Taste and adjust syrup if needed.

Serve cold: Add ice to a serving glass and pour in the lemonade. Garnish with rose petals or a thin slice of lemon.

Top tips

The amount of juice you get from one lemon depends on its size and how juicy they are. Start with four lemons and add more if needed.

You can make rose simple syrup from scratch or buy it online or at a specialty store. Or, mix 6 teaspoons of rose water with ¼ cup of sugar to make your own rose syrup.

If you'd like to make this lemonade ahead of time, be sure to add the sparkling water just before serving so it doesn't go flat.

The amount of sweetness you enjoy can be adjusted by how much rose syrup you add. Test and taste.

For a vibrant pink color, add a drop of food coloring to the pitcher.

Serving Suggestions

Serve for breakfast along with a side of Mango Vanilla Muffins for a tropical flavor.

Looks great next to a Breakfast Charcuterie Board to serve at brunch.

Make a pitcher of Strawberry Iced Tea to go alongside for a summer pool party.

Serve with Lemon Cucumber Popsicles for a refreshing and hydrating treat.

Variations

Add a mix of Lavender Syrup along with the rose syrup for a super floral lemonade.

You could try using freshly squeezed lime juice instead of fresh lemon juice for an intense citrus flavor.

Make a Virgin Rose Lemonade Sangria by adding freshly squeezed orange juice and muddled fruit.

For an Alcoholic Rose Lemonade, add sparkling wine or vodka for an easy summer cocktail.

Storage

This lemonade is best served immediately. If you're making ahead of time, mix up the lemon juice and rose syrup, then add the sparkling water just before serving.

You can store leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours, but the sparkling water will lose its carbonation over time.

Freezing is not recommended.
